About Us....
Chad & Rose
Chad & Rose are the proud owners and operators of The Old Farmhouse Cafe and Market. They met 25 years ago in Nova Scotia, where Rose is from, while Chad was there attending school to become an Horticulturalist. They married and moved back to Newfoundland right after college. They built a home in Paradise and a construction business that branched out into heavy equipment services, horticultural and carpentry work. They both share tremendous love for family and friends and understand the importance of both. They value their community and have much respect for the history and preservation of the land and the hard work of the family that came before them.
Our Dream
With such love and ties to the family farm, Chad and Rose wanted a way to preserve some of the life and the land in a way that would honour their family legacy. They began to build The Old Farmhouse with the hope of being able to bring some of that heritage and a sense of community to other families in the area. Building this family business for them, is about remembering and preserving the part of their family history that shaped Chad's own family in such a positive way. Their dream is to build their own legacy based on hard work, warm spaces and friendly service - A place where people can connect over good food, good coffee and good conversation. They are so excited to share this dream with you all.
